Structure:

  • The grass feels lusher, thicker and taller than any other artificial turf available in the market. Both the grass is 2 inches tall, making it the most dense artificial grass in the market. Thatch density, which is the key to the structural stability, is also very high compared to other grass. We use special thatch which allows us to avoid any infill in areas of low foot traffic. The grass is resilient to heavy loads placed on it for weeks in direct sunlight. Once the load is taken off, the grass will come back to its original form. Most of the artificial grass is made of flat fiber that lacks structural strength. Our fibers are W shape or U shape which make the structure much stronger for the same density of the material compared to flat structure.
  • Most backing of the artificial turf are flimsy. Our backing is about  2 to 3 times as thicker and structurally more sound than the competition. The glue used is better quality and used in appropriate quantities so that binding of the grass to the backing is more durable.
  • Most of the vendors do not meet the face weight quoted for their turf. Our turf face weight is greater than 94 oz per sq ft which is the highest face weight in the industry  and it feels softer and thicker compared with the competition.
  • Better fiber structure combined with the highest face weight and strongest backing make us our product the most structurally sound than anyone else in the USA market today.

Chemical Composition:

  • Our Artificial grass is made of 100% virgin plastic without any recycled product or heavy metal contamination. The green yarn is made of 100% pure virgin  Polyethylene(PE). The thatch is made of 100% pure virgin Polypropylene (PP). The backing is made of multiple layers 100% pure virgin Polypropylene (PP) woven fabric with different pattern.The multiple layers of backing is bound together with the woven yarns using combination of latex and polyurethane based glue.
  • Only additive to the pure plastic compound are of anti-oxidizing agents, color fasteners and UV protection compounds. These are necessary for color pigmentation and stability of product strength under sun UV.  The ratios of anti-oxidizing agents, color fasteners and UV protection compounds are unique for our product. These are factors not only contribute to the durability, but lead to minimal fading over the product life. Best possible compounds are used in the manufacturing process for maximum product life which is expected to be a minimum of 10 years.

Our Process & Equipment

We have patented equipment for the grass removal and installation process which allows us to get better results and save time. We2 pass on these savings to you. All of the installation process is mechanized to ensure better quality control on the process.

Our installation process mainly has the following steps

  1. Removal of existing grass:
    1. Most of our competition uses a sod-cutter to cut 2 -3 inches of top soil including grass and haul it away. This is environmentally reckless .The top soil is the most important part on earth crust on which our complete food supply is dependent on. It takes millions of years to form. Dumping it in a landfill is not the best we can do.
    2. We believe there is a better way. We till the grass into the ground land to a depth of 4 to 6 inches deep using our high speed tiller. This destroys almost all the roots of the grass. We rake the grassroots and thicker organic matter and remove it with the root system. We separate the organic material from the soil. This process allows us to retain almost 100%of the existing soil and less material to haul way while preparing the turf.
    3. The tilling and raking will be done using our multi-function machine. We also aerate the soil while doing this contouring and land refill.
  2. We use rakes and other equipment to contour the surface as needed.
  3. Our process does not does require excess material to be removed from the yard.
  4. Compacting and preparation
    1. We use an industrial strength compactor which is 3 times more powerful than what is used by most of our competitors. The compactor exerts a force of 30 KN to compact the soil. This compacting process uses a plate compactor which allows us to compact the soil up-to a depth of 12 inches.  This level of compaction prepares a firm base which will have minimal movement of the grass. This compaction will preserve the soil in its current state forever. Compaction will also ensure that soil will not mix with the the upper gravel layer and will not float as muddy water even if you have standing water on the installed synthetic grass
    2. After this stage, most competitors put about 3 to 4 inches of quarter minus. We need only 1.5 inches of quarter minus after the soil compaction we have achieved much stable base in 1.5 inch of gravel compaction.
    3. At this point, we are about 1.5 inches  above the compacted soil.
    4. We use a specially designed 1.5-inch square artificial lumber and secure it to the ground every 12 to 24 inches using a 12 inch stake, 1 inch away from the hard surface which acts as the perimeter wall. This artificial lumber and stake  is especially designed for us and is made of 100% recycled polyethylene only of USA consumer products like milk and shampoo bottles. These two products are produced in California. After end of life of our artificial grass, our partner manufacturer will be able to produce artificial lumber and stakes from our Turf among other product. This way we will ensure 100% recyclability of our product.
    5. We use stakes every 2 feet to anchor the perimeter wall (board) to the ground.
    6. The stakes are also screwed to the perimeter wall using a painted weather proof decking screw.
    7. We put crushed rock and sand to fill the area within the perimeter wall to be flush with the perimeter board.
    8. If the area is large and ground soil moisture content or water retention is required, we make 5 ft deep hole, 8 inch in diameter insert 6 inch perforated PVC pipe surrounded by 1 inch layer of river rock,  put a drain cap on top to act as dry well every 6 to 10 ft . This will allow all rain water to be absorbed along the length of the dry well much faster than the surface absorption due to much compacted surface. 6
  5. Turf Installation
    1. We put the turf on the prepared surface. We cut about 2 inches over the perimeter wall. This allows us to tuck the excess material into the perimeter wall.
    2. We staple the turf around the perimeter wall using a galvanized roofing staples. This makes much stronger and secure installation that cannot be dislodged by humans or pets
    3. Our artificial lumber edging provides far superior edging and allows us to create lust green soft bull nose edges for great look.
  6. Seaming & Infilling Process2
    1. We use a proprietary (patent pending) seaming process that is lot stronger in strength and looks of current technique of gluing and nailing.
    2. Typically, infilling is required if the turf has no structural strength or if turf is installed in a high traffic area. Most vendors, due to their poor turf quality and strength, use 2-3 lbs of sand to act as infill. This helps keep the wrinkles down and also prevents movement and expansion due to the weight of the sand. The turf also feels very hard like concrete if this is done. For our turf, we only use infill in high traffic areas. This results in a softer touch and feel for the grass. We can do this due to the inherently higher structural strength and face weight of our turf. Most of our installations only need about 1/3rd of the amount of infill which results in significant material savings. We put less than a pound of sand in high traffic areas. The sand sinks beneath the thatch. It cannot be seen and the turf feels soft (other vendors sometime put foam beneath the turf to make it feel soft).
